Reporting Diversity manual for journalists
  • The Media Diversity Institute (MDI) published a guide to reporting diversity in October 2002. The manual includes sections on ethnicity, religion, gender, people with disabilities, socially disadvantaged groups, elderly people, refugees, sexual orientation, political dissidents, and photographs/images. Each section contains reporting tips and detailed analysis of actual articles (taken from newspapers from South East Europe, Western Europe and the US). Training modules are included.
You can download a pdf version of the MDI manual here.
