Supports and encourages the use of the internet - to learn; to share ideas with other women's groups; to make voices heard in communities. Seeks to bridge the gap between those with access to the internet and those without, especially women with disabilities, those over 60, women from ethnic minorities, women carers, lesbians and bisexual women, lone mothers and unemployed women.

Arts charity committed to providing training for women in all areas of radio production, providing information on opportunities for women in the radio industry and a networking resource for women interested in radio. Works in partnership with media training organisations and community groups to develop opportunities in radio for women. Cathy Aitchison has worked with the PressWise RAM Project.

WRN carries live newscast audio streams in RealAudio and StreamWorks 24 hours a day from 25 of the world's leading public and international broadcasters, with extensive coverage of the arts and culture, music, sports, science, developmental issues, embracing programming of organisations who have existing shortwave services and wish to extend their audience and enter the new age of satellite and cable in good audio quality. Recognises important educational role in media, cultural and public affairs studies, with international radio being used in classrooms, lecture theatres and for personal research.
