Time to look again at the role of the press and its regulation

In his introduction to Satisfaction Guaranteed?, Sir Louis Blom-Cooper QC calls for a Fourth Royal Commission on the press. He also argues that self-regulation for the press isn't working.

Sir Louis is the Chair of MediaWise and was the last Chair of the Press Council, before it was replaced by the PCC.

He was formerly legal correspondent of The Guardian and The Observer (late 1950s - early 1960s). He writes intermittently for broadsheet newspapers and academic (mainly legal) periodicals. He is also an occasional broadcaster on socio-legal indices.
