Research based group of academics within the sociology department of Glasgow University, publishing under the name Glasgow Media Group. Promotes the development of new methodologies and substantive research in the area of media and communications. Has close links and partnerships with other academic institutions, and works in the UK and overseas, and has dealt with many problematic topics - war and peace reporting, news and politics, ethnic minorities and media, disaster reporting, food scares and media, mental health and media, television coverage of developing countries.' Has worked with PressWise.
