Set up in 1998 with bureaux around the world, Panos-London's mission is to work with media to enable developing countries to shape and communicate their own development agendas through informed public debate.  Produces independent, authoritative, trustworthy information from a range of perspectives, largely generated from people in developing countries to promote and catalyse public debate on issues of key concern to people in those regions. Provides training and runs large (often govt-funded projects in developing countries); has a network of more than 400 local journalists around the world.

A charity that collects and distributes training funds for the UK independent TV production sector. Created by the Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television (PACT) in 1993, the IPTF is controlled by a Board of independent TV producers, and raises a voluntary levy on independent television productions.

European initiative supported by BBC Education and BBC Television-Equal Opportunities (UK), BRTN (Belgium), NOS (Netherlands), STOA (Netherlands) and University of Luton (UK) to promote the role of public broadcasting in the development of a multicultural Europe and to increase the participation of black and ethnic minority people in broadcasting; to formulate guidelines which enable broadcasters to avoid negative and stereotypical portrayal of black in broadcasting; to strive towards high quality multicultural mainstream programming which promotes harmonious relations between ethnic, religious, cultural and linguistic groups; to share good practice in establishing equal opportunities within European organisations; to develop joint strategies for education and social action broadcasting as a means of countering racism and xenophobia within Europe; to establish networks to facilitate the above. Involved in a variety of projects.
